For 20 years, I led my family’s private contract fire department, providing wildfire suppression for the federal government and fire/rescue staffing for major industrial facilities. Like many entrepreneurs, I faced the endless challenges of scaling, managing cash flow, balancing people and profit, all while protecting life and property.
