Why Are You Still the Only One Who Can Close a Deal?
Free tool: Vision/Traction Organizer (Marketing Strategy section)
If every big deal still needs you in the room, you have a sales process problem. Your team can’t see what you see.
I ran revenue teams for most of my career. The pattern repeats. The founder sells on instinct. The team sells on guesswork. Results swing with whoever takes the call.
What fixes it
EOS® calls it a Proven Process. It’s one page. It shows the steps every customer goes through when they work with you, start to finish.
Three to seven steps. A short name for each. A few bullets under each step. That’s it.
Your salesperson walks the prospect through that page. The prospect sees the whole path. Your team hits the same points you would, in their own style.
Think of it as a map both sides can look at.
Build a draft this week
- Write down every step a customer takes, from first call to repeat purchase.
- Group them into three to seven stages.
- Name each stage in plain words a customer would use.
- Add two or three bullets showing what the customer gets at each stage.
- Put it on one page and test it on your next sales call.
The Proven Process lives inside the Marketing Strategy on the free Vision/Traction Organizer. Download it and fill in that section first. The Marketing Strategy guide explains each part.
Watch for this
Keep internal steps off the page. Your invoicing process doesn’t belong there. If the customer never sees it, cut it.
