Sometimes we look back at some of the risks we’ve taken and we gasp. (“What was I thinking?!”)
I left a secure job, moved my 2 toddlers and pregnant wife 600 miles, away from family, on my own dime, with no prospects, to pursue opportunities in construction. My journey went from “boots-on-the-ground,” to running projects, to leading operations, to growing a company with multiple subsidiaries and shared services.
We refer to the early days of that journey as “the dark days.” It worked out. 35 years of good stretches, rough patches.
Now, I can’t imagine NOT being an EOS Implementer. I love it.
Imagine getting to put 35 years of successes and failures to work helping others navigate their own journey, whether it be soul-draining challenges, preparing for an exit, or just wanting to get better.
I especially enjoy the variety of people and clients (not just construction), the “mom and pop” companies, the hair-on-fire risk takers, and the solid, complex enterprises.
