Leaving a secure job behind, I uprooted and moved my growing family 600 miles, on my own dime, with no prospects, to pursue opportunities in construction. My journey went from “boots-on-the-ground,” to running projects, to leading operations, to leading the company.
Eventually, I led our parent company, providing strategic oversight and services (M&A, IT, HR, etc.) to our 5 operating companies (Heavy Civil, Building, and MEP.) Together, we navigated sweeping industry changes, growing risks, and built winning teams. We grew a lot!
Forty years of learning what works and what doesn’t. I lived through the pain of my own bad decisions. Now, I put those experiences (good and bad) to work to help others.
My teams have faced everything from soul-draining challenges, to preparing for a sale, to “we-just-want-to-get-better.” We’ve had a lot of laughs along the way. (Often at my expense!)
My personal, business, and technical backgrounds have equipped me to help diverse teams grow their diverse businesses. (Construction, manufacturing, staffing, home services, professional/financial services, education, ministry, etc.)
