At 19, I took over the running of one of my parents 3 businesses – “A&J Building Products. It was a one-man operation and that one man was suddenly me!
I spent my 20s in and out of Police cells (we made and installed the cell doors, benches and windows.)
A techy at heart, I transformed that business, now “ATEC”, into a leader in CCTV, winning “Security Installer of the Year” 7 times.
I became the CCTV lead for the British Security Industry Association and served as Vice Chairman.
Despite this outward success, and having a team of around 65 people, my business ran me more than the other way around – until in 2020 I discovered EOS.
In 2 years EOS gave us the tools to build a new leadership team, and transform ATEC Security into a self-managing company.
In September 2023 I trained to be a professional implementer. I now work with growth-oriented business owners across the West Midlands region – guiding them on the same journey that has given me so much.
And I still take great pride in what my team at ATEC can achieve without me, and that my parents, who showed faith in the over-confident 19-year-old, are finally getting a great return.
