After earning my CPA, I left the corporate world to pursue a passion for entrepreneurial businesses. Running 2 separate businesses over the past 10 years has provided me with unique experience to not only understand the challenges that entrepreneurs and small business face; but also develop and implement solutions to solve those challenges.
In my first business, we lacked a management system. This led to slow decision making, taking too many high-risk opportunities that took us away from our sweep spot, as we lacked not only the ability, but more importantly, the conviction and confidence to be selective about the opportunities we chased. This led to continual pivots in strategy, wasting of valuable resources, and ultimately, failure.
In my next business, we implemented EOS. EOS forced us to be a cohesive leadership team, operating with a clearly defined vision and focus. This allowed us to make decisions quickly, but more importantly, it decreased the noise and distractions. We didn’t chase the shiny object, but instead, stayed laser focussed on our sweet spot. This led to 300% topline, and 650% bottomline growth, even through a challenging economic environment.
My approach to my EOS clients is a similar approach that I take to parenting. As a father of 2 boys, and leader of 2 different entrepreneurial businesses, I understand chaos. Parenting young boys has taught me the necessity of having handful (not 100) rules, that are reinforced consistently and repeatedly. The same goes for running a business. In business, we call those rules systems and processes. This allows our employees to know what is expected of them. When they know what’s expected, the right people will deliver. This concept is simple; but simple does not mean easy.
That’s why I’m here. To help you implement new systems, to run a better business.
