Maxime Yao (Max) is an accountant by trade, with a deep passion for growth and leadership. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and went on to spend more than 25 years honing his leadership skills inside some of the world’s most demanding organisations, like GE, Honeywell and United Technologies, working across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Over the course of his career, Max became convinced of two fundamental truths. First, everything rises and falls on leadership. This belief led him to found a Leadership Institute and launch a Leadership Podcast, driven by the conviction that when leaders get better, everybody wins.
The second insight was equally defining: execution is what makes a great leader. Anyone can create a plan, but aligning an organisation and delivering that plan consistently is what separates good leaders from great ones. Max experienced this challenge firsthand throughout his career, particularly while leading the turnaround of a PE-backed service business. He understands how lonely, complex, and overwhelming leadership at the top can be—especially in entrepreneurial and fast-moving organisations.
His search for a better way led him to the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). He immediately connected with the clarity of the framework, the practicality of the tools, and the discipline of the process. That experience ultimately led him to become an EOS Implementer, so he could help other entrepreneurs and leadership teams get more of what they want from their businesses.
Today, Max works with entrepreneurs and leadership teams to implement a proven system that turns vision into tangible, measurable results, with a particular focus on investor-backed businesses—helping leaders gain clarity, strengthen execution, and build organisations that run better and scale with confidence.
