Martin ‘served his apprenticeship’ in a small entrepreneurial family owned travel business which inspired him and a business partner set up one of their own. Within a year they had turnover exceeding £1m and were making profit but his innate curiosity and desire to explore took him in a different direction.
He spent the next 20 years in leadership roles across a number of highly successful, profitable and award winning international companies. However, this all came to a shuddering halt when one of those companies almost went bust. “I discovered a heck of a lot more about myself during those dark days than I did during the good times” he recalls. In truth Martin learned that he had grown tired of the politics, lack of accountability and unnecessary complexity they created.
So in 2010 he returned to his entrepreneurial roots and has been working with SME’s since. It was here in 2017 he discovered EOS and self-implemented the practical tools and concepts into the business he was working in. The business doubled in size to £10m+ turnover in just 2 years and was sold to private equity.
