I began my career as an CFO/Controller for ad agencies – which was really great because I’m a creative person who has a passion for people and my community. It was one of the best jobs I ever had. Only one problem: agencies aren’t typically built around their business processes. Their AP/AR and bank accounts are often upside down. The good news was it created a great opportunity for me to develop a series of best practices for operations and finance.
That’s when I decided to create my first business. Since then, I’ve worked with the leadership teams of over 200 ad agencies around the world to help them implement my best practices and integrate them into a single software platform that can run their business from top to bottom.
During that same time I co-founded a second company – Trim Tab Brewing. I built and pitched our business plan and got us through our $1M capital raise before eventually exiting my management role in the company, just before we opened our doors.
