After 25 years as a founder and CEO, John’s greatest leadership lesson began on the floor of a hotel room during a massive panic attack.
He was carrying the weight of the entire organization on his shoulders. His leadership team wasn’t aligned; they were working against each other, and he was constantly putting out fires and dealing with the same people issues. He kept trying to hold everything together… until the weight of it all became more than he could carry alone.
That moment became a turning point. A friend introduced him to Traction and EOS, and John discovered something that changed how he viewed his organization: What looked like a people problem was actually a system problem that created people problems.
As they began implementing EOS, the weight John had been carrying for years began to lift. His leadership team started taking ownership, holding each other accountable, solving issues, and having fun together again. In less than two years, the entire organization turned around, doubled in size, and continues to thrive.
But the biggest transformation wasn’t simply the growth; it was the team! John learned: When the leadership team gets healthy, everything changes.
