I became an EOS Implementer to give back – to share what I’ve learned in business in a way that helps owners succeed with less pain and suffering. I ran companies for 20+ years and loved it. My edge wasn’t heroics; it was knowing when a team was on the right path (and when we weren’t), then coaching to course-correct fast.
I was fortunate early on. A mentor- Harry Fowler- took me under his wing and kicked me in the pants when I needed it. That kind of mentorship changed the trajectory of my career. It’s why I believe so deeply in coaching: owners grow faster when someone helps them see clearly, choose the right few priorities, and build leaders who own outcomes.
Today, I bring that CEO/Engineering mindset into the room. I listen for the real issue, push for open and honest dialogue, and turn simple tools into habits that stick. The best part? Watching leaders like Andrew, Andre, Brandon, and Huzefa win – stronger teams, clearer priorities, consistent execution. That melts my heart and makes this work meaningful.
A coach once told me I probably wouldn’t succeed as an Implementer because I was “too corporate.” Maybe. But I believed I could make a difference – and I see it every time I work with a leadership team. This is my craft, my calling, and how I live the EOS Life: doing work I love, with people I love, making a huge difference, being compensated appropriately, and with time for other passions.
