Employees often skip processes and SOPs for multiple reasons. For example,
- the document does not match the real work,
- it is too long to use mid-task,
- they were never trained on it,
- they had no hand in building it,
- they can’t find it, or
- nothing happens when they skip it.
None is a character flaw. All five are leadership problems with leadership fixes. Using the FBA Checklist is a great tool in the EOS toolbox to support leaders with this challenge.
