How EOS and AI help This Visionary/Integrator Duo Scale with Purpose

A conversation with Jen and Kara, founders of ModLink an All-in-One Solution to Simplify & Elevate digital brands for multi-venture women entrepreneurs.

In a time when many businesses are struggling to do more with less, the ModLink team is proving that lean doesn’t mean losing sight of the big picture. As a multi-venture founder and creative force behind a growing brand, Jen and Kara share how EOS®, AI, and strong leadership rhythms have helped them scale with purpose and clarity.

As someone who’s walked alongside their EOS journey, I can tell you: there’s something powerful that happens when a Visionary and Integrator are truly locked in step with their systems and in vulnerability based trust.

How EOS Helped Them Stay Lean Without Losing Sight of the Vision

Jen (Visionary): “While we’ve had more robust versions of our staff, EOS helped us get honest about who we really needed to execute our mission. We leaned down to just our A players—and though it was scary, it’s paid off in a big way. Our revenue efficiency has skyrocketed. We make decisions faster, we’re more bonded, and the time we used to spend aligning everyone is now used to move the company forward. What we’ve accomplished this past year with a smaller team is truly remarkable.”

Kara (Integrator): “Instead of getting lost in the weeds or pulled in a million directions, EOS helped us simplify. No extra meetings, no shiny object syndrome, no second-guessing. We stay focused on what matters—our people, our product, and our purpose. If something doesn’t align with the vision, it gets parked.”

With tools like the Accountability Chart and People Analyzer, they dialed in who should be doing what. And their Vision/Traction Organizer keeps the whole team grounded in the same 2-page plan.

The Role of AI in Their Day-to-Day Operations

Jen: “From social media creation to feature development to lead generation, we use AI every day—and we even gave our AI agents names! With a smaller team, AI has become our go-to partner. Since our ideal customer is a multi-venture woman entrepreneur who loves efficiency, we’ve even baked AI into our client-facing time-saving formulas.”

Kara: “I told Jen recently, ‘I think I finally found a machine that understands me and my madness!’ AI lets us serve smarter, not harder. More importantly, it frees me up to spend time with our customers—doing the things AI can’t do. We’re not replacing connection, we’re amplifying it.”

By documenting how they use AI and building it into repeatable processes, they’ve freed up time and creative energy to operate in their Unique Abilities—what Dan Sullivan calls your zone of genius. Leveraging AI has been key for delegating automated tasks and elevating the team.

A Visionary/Integrator Relationship That Works

If you want to know what Visionary/Integrator harmony looks like, this is it. Jen brings the big ideas. Kara brings them to life.

Jen: “We have a strong Visionary/Integrator relationship—and it’s one of the things I’m most proud of. I bring the big-picture ideas and creativity, and Kara brings the structure, details, and process. Thanks to EOS, we have a weekly meeting cadence that keeps us in sync. We trust each other, communicate clearly, and have a rhythm that could run almost any business.”

Kara: “We’re the perfect mix of ‘what if?’ and ‘let’s make it happen. Our L10 meetings every Monday keep us structured, and our Thursday strategy sessions let us play with new ideas more freely. We trust each other, we challenge each other, and yes—she’s my work wife now!”

That kind of rhythm doesn’t happen by accident—it’s built through process, trust, and time. Taking a quick self-survey that helps clarify if you’re naturally a Visionary, an Integrator, or a mix is a great first step. If you are already in a V/I duo, ensure role clarity and establish Same Page Meetings. Dive into more great tips in the EOS blog, How to become the best Visionary/Integrator Dynamic Duo.

THE PERSONAL GROWTH REQUIRED TO LEAD A LEAN TEAM

Being an Integrator during a season of pivoting requires a different kind of leadership. Kara shares a hot tip,

Kara: “Setting boundaries and protecting my energy. I start my mornings with workouts and quiet time, and I’ve learned to shut things off at night. At one point, I thought I had to do it all. But prioritizing—learning what truly matters—has helped me lead better and show up more fully for everyone else.”

ADVICE TO PURPOSE-DRIVEN ENTREPRENEURS: CLARITY + SYSTEMS = MOMENTUM

Jen: “Systems, systems, systems—and believe in your team. Anyone can have great ideas, but it’s the teams (even if small) that trust each other and build repeatable systems who will win over time. People are your most important asset. Choose them wisely and protect them fiercely—they are the lifeblood of your business.”

Kara: “Clarity creates momentum. EOS helped us define who we serve, how we help, and what really matters. Once we created a Brand Blueprint and made sure the right people were in the right seats, everything started flowing. Don’t be afraid to pivot—just make sure your leadership is locked in and moving together. Scaling on purpose doesn’t mean having it all figured out. It means moving forward with intention.”
