Ferrari or 2-cylinder

You don’t need a bigger engine, you need less drag.

Most companies have the engine of a Ferrari. But they’re running like a two-cylinder.

I didn’t come up with that line. A highly successful EOS client did. He used EOS principles to grow his business to over $1 billion, and once he said it, I couldn’t unsee it.

Because that is exactly what I see with so many new EOS clients.

The ambition is there, the talent, the opportunity, the engine is not the problem. The drag is.

Weak accountability. People who are unclear on their roles, their numbers, or what a “winning week” actually looks like.

Wrong people in wrong seats. Leaders tolerating poor performance, toxic behavior, or people sitting in roles they simply cannot handle.

Poor data. Companies running on feelings: “we’re busy,” “things feel good,” “sales seems fine,” instead of clear numbers that tell the truth.

Lack of open and honest communication. Surface niceness that keeps everyone comfortable while the real issues sit underneath the table, slowing everything down.

Overcomplicated processes. Too many steps and exceptions. Too much inconsistency. Simple, consistent processes delight customers and improve profits. Happy customers buy more and refer often!

Failure to focus. The 80/20 rule is real. Twenty percent of activity drives eighty percent of results. The best companies know what matters most, and they protect it relentlessly.

This is the work of EOS. It is removing the drag. It is getting clear on where you are going, who owns what, what numbers matter, what issues need to be solved, and what priorities deserve your best attention now.

While I was on vacation in Los Angeles celebrating my birthday with friends and family, I took the opportunity to rent a red Ferrari.

Let me show you how EOS can help you and your company feel the Ferrari ride.
