This week, we’re supposed to be thankful. But if you’re being honest—really honest—does looking at your business fill you with gratitude, or does it fill you with dread?
I talk to business owners every day who have built incredible companies, yet they feel like they are chained to the engine room. They can’t leave for the holiday because “if I’m not there, nothing gets done.” That isn’t business ownership; that’s a high-paying prison sentence.
The Ceiling Effect
The problem isn’t you, and it isn’t your people. The problem is that you’ve hit the “ceiling.” Your business has outgrown the way you used to manage it. When you hit the ceiling, three things happen:
- Stagnation: Growth stops.
- Chaos: You run around putting out fires.
- Frustration: You stop enjoying the climb.
The Way Out
I decided to become an EOS Implementer because I got tired of watching brilliant entrepreneurs burn out. EOS (the Entrepreneurial Operating System) isn’t magic. It’s a set of simple, practical tools that help you get what you want from your business.
So this Thanksgiving, if you’re checking emails under the dinner table, let’s make a pact: this is the last year you do that. Let’s get you some Traction.
