Most founder-led companies hit a wall they can’t quite name. Revenue looks fine. Everyone is working hard. And somehow the same three problems keep showing up in a different costume every quarter.
I know that wall. I spent more nights than I want to admit in the parking lot outside our first Pinot’s Palette studio, wearing eight hats, working sixty hour weeks, convinced that was just what building something felt like. It wasn’t. We put EOS in, and within a year the noise got quiet enough that we could actually grow. One Houston studio became more than 150 locations across North America, and eventually a good exit.
I’ve run EOS inside five companies since. I’ve sat in the Visionary seat and I’ve sat in the Integrator seat, led complex turnarounds, launched tech ventures, and served as President and COO of a global consulting firm. So when your leadership team is stuck, I’m not reading it off a slide. I’ve been in that chair, and I’ve made most of those mistakes personally.
I work best with founder led teams that are past the scrappy stage, where the thing that got you here has quietly stopped working. If you want someone who nods a lot and validates the plan, I’m the wrong call. If you want someone who will name what’s actually going on and then stay in the room while you fix it, we’ll get along.
