Supply chains, pricing models, procurement, workforce dynamics, customer expectations, and competitive advantage are all changing at an unprecedented pace. Most entrepreneurial companies are trying to navigate that complexity using the same instincts and leadership approach that built their business. That works until growth, disruption, and change begin moving faster than instinct alone. At that point, what leaders need isn’t more hustle. They need clarity, discipline, and a proven operating system for building the next stage of their company.
That’s why I became an EOS Implementer.
I’m a seasoned entrepreneur, 10-year Air Force veteran, and retired Deloitte Consulting Managing Director with more than 30 years of leadership, strategy, and emerging technology experience. Long before Deloitte, I grew up working in my family’s construction business, helped my mother’s Mary Kay business, and eventually built and operated businesses in construction, automotive, real estate, consulting, and technology. I was also one of four leaders who built a local St. Louis startup that’s now known as Perficient.
I’ve spent my career helping entrepreneurial companies develop strategies and scale without losing the entrepreneurial spirit that made them successful in the first place.
During my time at Deloitte, I helped grow the firm’s U.S. Private Company practice from approximately $300 million to $4.5 billion by serving founder-led, family-owned, venture-backed, and private equity-backed businesses. Later, I helped launch Converge by Deloitte, an industry focused AI-enabled data insights software venture. Across hundreds of leadership teams, I saw the same patterns repeated regardless of industry: great companies were hitting ceilings because leadership teams weren’t fully aligned, accountability wasn’t consistent, complexity had overtaken execution and the business had simply outgrown the way it was being run.
Those experiences are what ultimately led me to EOS.
What resonated with me wasn’t just the tools, it was the philosophy behind them. EOS provides leadership teams with a simple, proven framework to clarify vision, strengthen accountability, solve real issues, and build healthier businesses capable of sustained growth. It reflects many of the same principles I’ve seen consistently separate exceptional companies from those that struggle to reach the next level.
Today’s business environment has also introduced a new challenge: artificial intelligence and rapid market disruption.
To help leadership teams better understand those strategic forces, I developed The BrownstoneMETHOD™ SHIFT Approach, a separate executive advisory engagement focused on helping organizations identify where AI and market disruption are creating both risk and opportunity. While SHIFT helps leadership teams understand what AI is reshaping around their business, EOS provides the operating system that helps them successfully execute what comes next. The two are independent offerings that naturally complement one another.

Today I focus on privately held entrepreneurial companies with 10 to 250 employees whose leadership teams are growth-oriented, open-minded, and committed to building healthier, stronger businesses. Whether you’re preparing for your next stage of growth, developing the next generation of leadership, planning for private equity investment or family succession, or simply trying to regain control of your business, my goal is the same: help you build a healthier leadership team, a stronger company, and a business that creates lasting value for your employees, customers, investors, family, and community.
I work with companies across construction, manufacturing, technology, healthcare, clean energy, automotive, and professional services throughout the Greater St. Louis and Chicago regions, Northern California, and select markets nationwide, with a particular passion for serving minority-owned and diverse businesses.
If you’re looking for someone who has built businesses, advised leadership teams through growth and disruption, and understands both the opportunities and realities of entrepreneurial leadership, I’d welcome the opportunity to learn more about your business and determine whether EOS is the right fit for your leadership team.
