I had an idyllic upbringing in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am the youngest of six kids in an entrepreneurial family. We moved to Park City, Utah where my parents developed 150 acres of farmland into neighborhoods.
It’s no surprise that I love mountains and the outdoors. Basketball is my favorite pastime. It has been a part of my life wherever I’ve lived.
I spent two years in Zimbabwe on a church mission. I’ve never met poorer or happier people in my life.
After graduating from Brigham Young University in Business Management, I was in the Fortune 500 world and got an MBA from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in Strategy and Entrepreneurship.
While at UNC, I was simultaneously running a 75-person company. I found a great deal of purpose in running a small business where I could focus on building an effective team.
I find even greater purpose building my forever team with my wife Katherine. We have two boys, Shepherd and Samuel. We settled in Apex, North Carolina in 2020 and think it lives up to its reputation as the “Peak of Good Living”.
