Brian has been a program builder, visionary and social entrepreneur for nearly 40 years. His first career was building high school and college orchestra programs, but after 15 years as a teacher and conductor he became interested in leading organizations. He convinced his wife to move to Indiana and for the next 25 years he led three different organizations.
The third start-up designed a new approach to talent development in Elkhart County, Indiana. In his role as President/CEO, Brian worked closely with a board of industry CEOs, community leaders and school superintendents. In 2017, about five years into the bold effort, one of the industry CEOs on the board told Brian about EOS, and how it could help HEA have even more impact in the community.
Brian and his team began implementing EOS immediately (with the help of a professional implementer), and in the very next year HEA began a streak of winning state and national recognition and investments. Eight years later, Brian took early retirement to launch his own EOS practice. He’s passionate about helping nonprofit and for-profit leaders clarify their vision, increase traction, and build great leadership teams.
