For years, I accepted that the cost of building great businesses was strain — on leaders, teams, and families.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
I’ve spent the past two decades in vertical market software and services as both an operator and a private equity operating partner. I’ve led four companies (a startup and three turnarounds) and acquired and managed portfolios of 20+ businesses.
Having been on both sides of the table as a buyer and a seller, I’ve seen what really happens inside companies when growth and execution matter. The pressure is real. Balancing shareholder expectations while building focus, accountability, and momentum across leadership teams is hard work.
At my core, I believe a business is only as strong as its people. Over my career, I’ve coached and mentored 20+ CEOs and leadership teams to drive growth, improve margins, and build healthier, more aligned organizations.
Despite strong results, it often felt like the cost of achievement was time, energy, and family—mine and my teams’. I knew there had to be a better way.
I was introduced to EOS through an acquisition, and when I read Traction, everything clicked. EOS was the operating system I’d been missing. Later, after hiring an Implementer, we created more clarity and progress in 90 days than we had in the prior year. And people were genuinely happier. It transformed the business, and it changed my life.
Today, I work best with growth-oriented, open-minded leaders, including PE-backed companies, long-term capital investors, and owners focused on building long-term value, whether they plan to sell or not.
