About

I bring a practical and credible perspective to operating systems for acquired small businesses. My work is grounded in real operating experience and more than fifteen years of helping shape the entrepreneurship through acquisition ecosystem at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Most first-time CEOs step into complexity. They inherit people, systems, and expectations that do not always fit together. I help them build the structure and rhythm that turn confusion into clarity and create space for confident leadership.

My background spans investment banking, entrepreneurship, and teaching. Early in my career, I advised public companies and founders preparing to sell their businesses. That work gave me a deep respect for the entrepreneurial journey and a clear view of how buyers think about value. As the co-founder and CEO of Intrinsic, I built a national valuation and transaction advisory firm and learned firsthand how discipline and culture shape performance. Today, as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Chicago Booth and co-author of a Yale case study on business operating systems, I work with investors and operators who are defining the next generation of small-company leadership.

I hold an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a BA in Economics from Claremont McKenna College, and a BSEE in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado.
