A few years out of college, Chris did something everyone told him was crazy! He walked away from a great job and co-founded a software company. The team “bootstrapped” to $2 million dollars in revenue, a dozen employees, and was acquired in year three by a public company.
This launched Chris into roles at a few really big companies. At IKON/Ricoh, he led sales and marketing process implementation for a field sales organization of over 5000 reps. At Extra Space Storage, he led sales and operations process implementation as the company grew from 300 to 700 locations.
This is when he found a growing software company called Infusionsoft. Their purpose “To Help Small Businesses Succeed” was so compelling to him, that he joined them to lead operations and systems as they grew from $50M to more than $100M in revenue.
With a “small business success” fire in his belly, Chris happened on the EOS book “Traction.” He was truly amazed to find that everything he had learned about how to lead teams and grow businesses through years of painful trial and error was there in one harmonious system.
Chris was hooked and is now on a mission to help hundreds of small businesses change the world and get more of what they want from their businesses!
Most entrepreneurs who attempt to self-implement EOS do it wrong, and our organization was no exception to that. Chris Spear is an amazing coach! He brought our leadership team together in a special way to leverage the foundational EOS framework and toolset. Now we have clarity and alignment, and we’re getting the results our business needs to move forward in today’s hyper-competitive marketplace. We’ve been in business 21 years and this is one of the best investments we’ve ever made!

Hiring Chris was perhaps the best business decision our small business made all year. He really gets the most out of our leadership team. We now have common language, alignment of individual and company goals, and a vision and purpose that are tangible and impactful. Chris keeps us on track so we don’t fall back into our old habits. Our new trajectory is on pace to reach or exceed even our stretch goals. We consider Chris to be an honorary member of our leadership team !
