About This Implementer

Gordon’s passion is developing strong, healthy, functional and cohesive management teams. As an entrepreneur, Gordon has successfully founded three technology companies, two with successful exits and one still privately held. He has also invested in and mentored numerous other early-stage companies. Prior to running his own companies, Gordon taught leadership programs and facilitated teams in a variety of settings ranging from classrooms and retreats to intensive backcountry, wilderness-based environments.

His 25 years’ experience of executive management, leadership training, and entrepreneurial risk-taking enable Gordon to quickly understand and address the issues his clients face. He has experienced first hand the challenges, frustrations and joys of running his own businesses, and knows how to handle potentially challenging situations where management teams are not aligned and conflicts exist.

Through implementation of The Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), Gordon helps business leaders get control of their business by creating clear directives, accountability, and alignment around their company’s vision. Business owners experience more predictable results, more control, open and honest communication, streamlined problem solving, and an improved quality of life after working with Gordon.

Gordon specializes in working with management teams interested in scaling quickly or positioning their businesses for an eventual transition in leadership or ownership. He also specializes in high conflict situations that are limiting promising businesses. Clients range from high growth start-ups to privately held mid-sized businesses. Depending on the client, Gordon will also selectively invest in his clients through a direct investment and/or converting a portion of his fees into equity. He can be reached at 919-475-8483. Gordon works throughout the U.S. but lives in Durham, NC with his wife Sophia and their four children.
